Truing

Single-parameter truing.

Trued starts with a standard ballistic model. Truing adjusts the model by changing only a single parameter, keeping the correction physically consistent instead of compensating for unrelated errors.

  • Estimated muzzle velocity: true V0. Measured muzzle velocity: true BC. Only one parameter at a time.
  • The fit uses supersonic impacts only, and scales each one from the temperature it was shot at to the temperature you are shooting in now.
  • Transonic and subsonic corrections are kept as DSF drop points, which apply alongside the fitted parameter.
  • Change the load and Trued marks the old corrections stale, and warns until you clear them.

Developed in Helsinki by a software engineer and active Finnish reservist sniper.

The solver

What the solver is based on.

Trued uses the ballistics-engine solver library, implemented in Rust. Every correction is calculated independently.

Spin drift, with gyroscopic stability from the Miller rule. It uses the bullet length you enter, or estimates one from your bullet’s weight and diameter.
Coriolis and Eötvös, as soon as you set latitude and firing azimuth.
Inclined-fire geometry from the look-angle dial, uphill and downhill.
Powder-temperature sensitivity: your V0 tracks the temperature you’re shooting in.
Humidity, station pressure and air density in the atmosphere model.
Transonic and subsonic ranges flagged right in the table.
Effective V0 and max supersonic range under every come-up. Optional apex height, apex distance and time-of-flight columns.

Bullet library

A library bullet, or your own numbers.

Use bullets from the built-in library or enter your own data. Both use the same ballistic solver.

  • A curated library of bullets and cartridges: Lapua, Hornady, Berger, Sierra, Norma, SK and Eley. Searchable by name, maker or caliber.
  • Or enter weight, diameter and BC by hand for a load that isn’t listed.
  • Picking one fills the profile fields in a single tap: weight, diameter and coefficients.

Built for the field

Built for field use.

Large touch targets, a dim red-and-black night mode, and an offline field mode without GPS or network connectivity.

Mission Mode

Disables GPS, network calls and biometric prompts. The barometer and compass keep working (passive). It does not claim device-wide radio silence: you check the rest on the device.

Night mode

Dim red on black for night and night-vision use.

Export

Export DOPE sheets and card sets.

Export a single DOPE sheet or an entire card set as PDF. Every elevation band is calculated for its own temperature from the same trued solution.

  • Card formats to match your kit: a full A4/A5 ballistics sheet, a three-pocket wrist-panel set, a stock strip, a spotter’s map-pouch card, and a reticle sticker for the scope’s lens cap.
  • Correction cards, plus moving-target lead and loophole (firing-port) tables. Every value comes from the same solve as the table rows.
  • Range-and-lead tables, a wind clock and a mil-relation nomogram printed right on the card.
  • Three temperature bands (−15, 0 and +15 °C by default, adjustable), a 1–10 m/s wind table, greyscale or colour, mrad or MOA, English or Finnish.
  • Export as PDF, save each page to your gallery as an image, or send the full sheet as CSV.
  • Every card format also exports as an editable spreadsheet that opens in Excel or Google Sheets.
